Why am I a part of this group?
I am with PowerBio as I see being a part of this group as my opportunity as a woman academic to leave things better for the future women in Indian academia. Simply put, I want to see more women at all levels in academia, especially in leadership roles. This cannot be done by the occasional pep talks and by passive role models. However, this may be achieved by structured training and leadership skill development. The foundation blocks for women to get equity in Indian academia will have to be made and I hope PowerBio is instrumental in building those equity blocks on which future women can stand and aspire high.
