Working on mRNA splicing and RNA-binding proteins and their impacts metabolic syndromes to stem cell differentiation. Also working on gene delivery in disease and stem cell models in collaborative projects.
Why am I a part of this group?
It is high time that women scientists’ voices are heard. Their challenges are far more than their male counterparts, and yet they are evaluated from recruitment to promotions by the same parameters. Women per se also is not a homogeneous population – among women scientists, there exist various marginalized groups who represent minorities within the minorities. Their voices and struggles also need to be raised and acknowledged. The fact that such female scientists are still doing science with passion and enthusiasm and have not given up is a cause for celebration itself. I strongly believe an association such as POWER BIO will give a platform to such women scientists and acknowledge their struggle and contribution to science.
