The focus of our reserch group is studying the higher-order structure of chromatin and its role in gene regulation.
Why am I a part of this group?
In biology, women make up a large proportion of students at the BSc level, but this number tends to decrease at the PhD and Postdoc levels, and even more so when it comes to faculty positions and influential administrative roles. I dream of a future where this bias is eliminated and more women are encouraged, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. I would love to contribute by inspiring and encouraging the next generation in whatever small ways I can.
