My group is interested in studying epigenetic, transcriptional and post-transcriptional mechanisms regulating diverse lipid signalling pathways during tumor development, and those targeting the tumor microenvironment in response to cancer chemotherapeutics.
Why am I a part of this group?
Science is gender neutral, thus Women in Science should have equal opportunity in all respects. But that does not happen! The fact that men and women together can do better science is neither accepted, nor nurtured! The POWER Bio group to me, gives that safe space shared with like-minded women, who can support and mentor other women to make them realise their potential, make them feel that they are not alone and give them that push to achieve to their fullest capacity. Changing the mindset is what we need, both at our respective workplace and for that visionary, bigger space with ample powerful women leaders.
